Mr. Mercedes

Another novel quite different from what you’d expect from Stephen King, no supernatural elements, no horror waiting around the corner, a truly hard-boiled detective story as King put it himself. The characters are natural and you come to picture them as fully fleshed and with a drive of their own. The story is straightforward, no mayor plot twists but told in a way that is hard to put down, the book gets under your skin and it becomes harder and harder to let it go even when not reading.
